Overview

Canesten 2% Cream provides soothing relief from the itching, redness, and soreness caused by vaginal thrush.
Applied directly to the affected area, it targets the yeast infection at the source while calming irritation on the outside of the vagina.

What is Canesten 2% Cream

Vaginal thrush can cause intense itching, burning, swelling, and discomfort. While oral capsules work from the inside, Canesten 2% Cream is designed for external use, offering fast relief from the irritation that makes thrush so unpleasant.

Its active ingredient, clotrimazole, is an antifungal medicine that works by killing Candida albicans, the yeast responsible for thrush. Regular application helps clear the infection and restore comfort.

Canesten 2% Cream is often prescribed alongside oral capsules or vaginal pessaries to give complete relief from both internal and external symptoms.

Directions

  • Apply a thin layer of cream 2–3 times daily to the affected external area.
  • Continue treatment for at least 3 days, or as directed by your prescriber.
  • Wash hands thoroughly before and after application.
  • For external use only - not to be inserted inside the vagina.
